Two more instructors will be announced soon. All ages and playing levels are welcomed at DFC! Our attendees come from 15 countries and their ages range from 10-70! Attendees spend a total of six hours with each of our four drumming instructors in a class of 20 (or less). Classes are a combination of lecturing and playing. You leave the camp inspired and filled with new ideas. One class will feature members of the band, creating the opportunity to work on groove with one of the best! In the evenings, you attend jams with our incredible band! You'll sit in for a tune, and you'll get to hang and watch your fellow attendees (and instructors) sit in! Go here to learn more and register! DFC 2025 Recap! Drum Fantasy Camp wrapped up an amazing 17th annual U.S. camp (19th overall) on August 6, 2025. Instructors Dennis Chambers, Peter Erskine, Gavin Harrison and Dave Weckl provided an all-legends experience to a completely full camp. The band featured bassist Hagar Ben Ari (Scary Pockets/The Late Late Show with James Corden), keyboardist Stu Mindeman (Kurt Elling), singer Chrissi Poland (Michael Bolton/Moby), and guitarist Vinny Valentino (George Benson/Vital Information). The 2024 Drum Fantasy Camp saw the return of three DFC favorites and one new instructor! Bruce Becker, a master clinician who has helped several top drummers, joined for the very first time. Drum Fantasy Camp completed its first-ever AccessCuba trip! 24 people joined legendary drummer Dave Weckl for musical exchanges, concerts featuring Dave, and plenty of exploration in Havana! Drum Fantasy Camp is the world's leading drum camp experience. The difference? It is run by top music industry people and it's the only camp experience with a world-class band. Steven manages marketing for drummers Dave Weckl, Steve Smith, plus guitarist Mike Stern and more, while working with several other music artists. Steven is hands-on at the camp, running the events and making himself available to talk about the industry and best practices for getting ahead. Music Director Vinny Valentino is a composer/guitartist in Steve Smith's band: Steve Smith and Vital Information NYC Edition. He also writes and records with George Benson and several other prominent artists. Vinny organizes the concerts, runs the nightly jams, and teaches a "Groove Class" that our attendees are welcome to attend. Everyone at DFC is friendly and encouraging. The positive atmosphere comes from an international crowd of players who are so excited to be learning and performing with the world's best.
