A Unique and Intimate 5-Day Adventure
with Legendary Drummer Dave Weckl
January 13-18, 2019
Havana, Cuba

Cost: $3,495 USD
Drum Fantasy Camp, in cooperation with Carlson Maritime Travel (Miami), has created an amazing opportunity. It's called Drum Fantasy Camp: Access Cuba with Dave Weckl. Attendees on this tour will spend five days in Havana: seeing live music, experiencing incredible artists, witnessing amazing architecture, and eating great food - all with iconic drummer Dave Weckl!

Just like any tour, you will experience all these things with an amazing tour guide who knows every corner of Havana. You will ride on a comfortable bus and get to know your small group of music enthusiasts. And - that's right - Dave will be right there with you every day: having breakfast in the hotel restaurant, riding the bus with you, and experiencing everything the same way that you do. Like many of you, this will be Dave's first time in Havana and he is excited to go!

And that's not all...

In addtion to of the amazing art and music you will see, you will also watch Dave rehearse and perform with a Cuban jazz group! It's the ultimate backstage pass!

Why Cuba?

Cuba has been the subject of mystery, fascination and deliberation for decades. The profound musical and artistic heritage of Cuba is a big part of that fascination. Countless musicians, particularly drummers, have emerged from Cuba over the years. You know some of these musicians: Horacio "El Negro" Hernandez, Dafnis Prieto, Pedrito Martinez, Paquito D'Rivera, Arturo Sandoval, and so many more.

Dave Weckl has always admired and respected the musical heritage of Cuba - particularly Cuban jazz. Camp director Steven Orkin visited Cuba in January of 2018 (with the same tour company). Upon discussing his experiences in Cuba, Dave agreed that it was time to go.

And a limited number of people can join him...
